Ведущий концепт-художник STALKER 2 поделился историей создания псевдооленя.

«Работа над ним началась с мозгового штурма. Задача была визуально представить щит и броню с точки зрения геймплея. Это было особенно сложно, потому что оно должно было вписаться в сеттинг, не становясь слишком фэнтезийным. Но я нашел вдохновение в ночных фото лося, бродящего по лесу — они выглядели жутко и атмосферно. Также я думал об адаптации старой фан-концепции Тарка для первой игры.

Это привело к идее использования рогов в качестве щита, дополненного наростами на шкуре. Это выглядело весьма хорошо. Теперь, когда я вижу эти рога в игре, мой первый инстинкт — немедленно убежать!

Также была идея возродить концепцию паразита, когда-то созданную Ильей Толмачевым, но она не очень вписывалась в геймплей. По-моему, тема паразитов супер захватывающая и эмоционально может очень сильно задеть, вызвав панику и страх неизвестного — чего-то, чего нельзя увидеть, как аномалии и радиация».
